Wolves, Albion, Villa or Walsall...Which West Midlands club has the best home record?

sbobet asian Analysis from Your-Promotional-Code.co.uk, which looked at every home fixture for the current 92 Premier League and EFL teams since the start of the 2008/09 season, has shown that Wolves' turf is by far the hardest to win three points from in the West Midlands. However, despite being the best in the local area, the club sit a fairly mediocre 41st of all the teams analysed in the study.

Championship strugglers Birmingham City come up with the silver medal, one place ahead of Walsall and 10 ahead of Aston Villa, who nip in just ahead of West Brom. Before the 2017/18 campaign Wolves had endured a poor home record for a couple of seasons and they spent three years in the Premier League during the 10 years in question.

sbobet asian Wolves boast a 46 per cent win rate at Molineux over the last decade, winning 99 games from a total of 217, averaging 1.61 points per game. Their goal difference is +61 goal - part in thanks to their terrific title-winning campaign last time around in which they won 30 games and lost just seven.Blues follow them up with an average of 1.48 points per game at St. Andrew's, putting them one place above League One side Walsall.

The Saddlers sport a 40 per cent winning rate at the Banks's Stadium, averaging 1.47 points per game which is good enough to sit them in 71st place in the country.Villa and West Brom are whiskers apart in the rankings at 80th and 82nd respectively, with Steve Bruce's side averaging 1.41 points per game alongside a 36 per cent win rate - not helped by their relegation season in 2015/16.

sbobet asian Albion meanwhile average 1.4 points per encounter and a slightly higher 38 per cent winning clip, but likely owe their bottom placed ranking to their similarly disastrous relegation campaign last season.Manchester City unsurprisingly top the UK rankings, averaging 2.36 points per game at home, whilst fellow promoted side Cardiff City make the top ten, averaging 1.83 points per home fixture.Sunderland are the lowest ranked team in the country, earning just 1.15 points per game at the Stadium of Light, while the only Premier League side in the bottom 10 is Crystal Palace, who have managed just 1.35 points per encounter at Selhurst Park.

Premier League Player of the Week: Manchester City’s David Silva

แทง บอล ส เต็ ป Manchester City midfielder David Silva gave a brilliant performance capped by a stunning goal in Sunday’s match against Huddersfield Town, making him Maryam Naz’s pick for The Offside Rule’s Premier League player of the week.

An eye for a pass
Silva’s ability to pick out players in more advanced positions is second to none. In Sunday’s game he was in the thick of the action, frequently providing superb crosses for Gabriel Jesus. His deliveries were inch perfect but he also unlocked Huddersfield with defence-splitting passes. Silva kept City’s attacking trio ticking, giving them the space to exploit the defensive vulnerability ahead.

Set-piece specialist
แทง บอล ส เต็ ป Silva’s forte may be his ability to play the perfect pass, but it would be a mistake not to acknowledge his set piece prowess. A stunning well-placed freekick in the 47th minute evaded Ben Hamer’s reach and was his first goal scored directly from a freekick for City. Silva is proving to be just as menacing with the ball at his feet in the attacking third as he is prolific with it in within the confines of central midfield.

Team player
Perhaps Silva’s best asset is his ability to work with others. It would be easy for Silva to be more selfish in front of goal, but he seems to thrive off finding spaces to feed balls into for others. In last season’s campaign he picked up 11 assists and scored nine goals. His game is balanced, he scores freely but is also extremely adept at linking up with others.

Honorary mentions
There were other outstanding performances deserving of an honorary mention. Silva’s teammate Sergio Aguero แทง บอล ส เต็ ป was one of the stand-out players in the same game, picking up his 13th hat-trick for City. Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso, Tottenham Hotspur’s Lucas Moura, and Liverpool’s James Milner also played brilliantly.
